My doctor ensured me it would not double but more than increase significantly. The mother’s reproductive health is checked. 13 days later i only measured 6 weeks 1 day. either that the pregnancy sac is empty, or that your baby has no heartbeat. A heartbeat is the first sign of a healthy and live foetus. Occasionally it happens beyond the first few weeks, perhaps at eight weeks. I can’t expect to have a number that’s 73,000 on a Monday and then the Wednesday it goes up to 146,000. At seven weeks, the embryo’s heartbeat can be detected through an ultrasound scan. ![]() This is why I ain’t too concerned about the doubling numbers. When you get to around the 8-10 week mark they reach a peak and then get lower. My numbers are on the higher end of the scale and soon they’ll start to level out and won’t double at all. Sometimes the babys heart rate is slower, especially if it is very early in the pregnancy (before 7 weeks gestation). If you plan to use fetal heart monitor dopplers to listen to your baby's heartbeat, then you may have to wait from weeks 9 to 28 weeks to hear a clear heartbeat. & numbers are supposed to double at the beginning when they get to a certain point (over 6000) it takes more to double and past a certain point it can take more than 5 days to double. From 6 to 7 weeks, your doctor can assess your baby's heartbeat to understand your pregnancy better.
